This is where we come in. We want to get a large group of people against art theft to join together in the fight against it. This means that we need supporters; people who are ready to find art stealers, note the Art-Fuzz so that we can notify the person responsible, and be ready to report if the person refuses to take it down.
Now, dont think that we are all hard-core, trying-to-take-the-fun-out-of-DA type people. We, like any other club, will hold contests, put up Anti Art-Theft art that our members post, and just generally have fun like were supposed to on DA, of course.
Our club is almost non-existent, and might not even work, but were trying. We just hope that it gets noticed by the community and helps rid it of art thieves and/or stolen art.
~Joining~
Now, like any club, there are rules to join and be on the club. (Sorry, but there are.)
1.) You must not have stolen art in your gallery. If stolen art is in your gallery, you will be asked to remove it before you may join. If your art that at first was not proven to be stolen is in fact stolen, you will get a notice from the
2.) If you wish to join, simply send a note telling us a reason you would like to help us in our attempt to bring down art thieves. You should be responded to within a few days.
3.) Have fun, and remember to report an art thief if found. Also join in reporting an art thief when a journal is posted saying so.
4.) We ask that you not flame the art thief. If you feel a need to express your anger, express yout feelings in a mature way. In short, don't cuss them out; say something about how you don't like that they stole the picture, and that you are going to report them if nessesary.
Its a start.

Devious Comments
I personally have never had an issue with things that I report not getting taken down. If you provide a link to the original piece, it tends to happen pretty quick. Every now and again I have found a piece that remained up after I reported it, but I simply sent another report (after a month or so, not spamming with reports) and it was removed. I tend to think of it more in terms that the staff is monster busy and a report might have been deleted on accident.
Again, I do like the idea of this club. It's good that you've stated that people are not to tell off the art thief involved. But I wanted to mention that there are rules about "calling out" deviants as well. It might get some people in trouble if the whole club runs over there to tell the person they are wrong. It may be a good policy to encourage members to report stolen work and refrain from speaking to the offender. So long as you make it clear that this isn't a club for people to go bash art thieves, I think it'll work out great.
I try whenever I can to inform people that they are not supposed to post artwork that doesn't belong to them. Some of them are nice, but more often than not, they react in a rude manner. I've taken to reporting rather than passing an FAQ over to the person, just to save myself the headache.
On another note, I'm sure you guy have heard of *RippedArtTaskForce They are on a brief hiatus, but it might be nice to affiliate with them once things get going.
I'll be popping back in later.

It might not be such a huge problem with getting the picture down, but hey, the more people the better, no? I guess if would just depend. I've found that it's pretty useless to tell-off the art thief, because they usually come back with some stupid rude remark and won't listen to reason, then hide the comments or report you as spam.
I wouldn't want the members of the club to all go running to the piece and flaming it, either. I wanted first for anyone who has seen a stolen picture to note us and give links to both pictures (the real one and the stolen one). Then we would kindly note the person responsable telling them that we know the picture is stolen, and if not removed within a day or so of reading the note, we will be forced to report said picture. If they don't take the picture down we will post a journal giving links to the real and stolen pictures, and ask that the members of the club please report it but not to flame.
It probably would

I prefer to just report things directly myself. I support your cause, but I'm unlikely to join up.
